Amber's sterilization operation is a success!

Amber went to her sterilization operation today in the day at 12pm..

Jie jie(Sharon) was there to accompany her..

around 6pm++ her operation starts...

Amber was given a blood test and urine test as well..
also, her ears was check to see how was her condition on her ear infection too..

Jie jie(Sharon) was very worried that she cried and stop, stop and cried for the few hours..
(Jie jie was very worried partly the reason of Amber's age, partly the reason that she remembered a few months ago, the incident of a 9yr old JRT who died on the sterilization operation too..)

Finally after 7 hours of waiting, the operation is done... jie jie(Sharon) was able to go visit her and to know the condition with the doctor..

(Amber at the "patient bed" in The Joyous Vet)

Amber was still kinda blur after the operation, she can hears the humans talking but was weak and sleepy still...

According to the doc, her urine test and blood test shows that she's was in perfect health, all her organs was healthy and strong except that her Ph is slightly lower then average but that's fine...

During the operation, they also said that her urine parameters was a little bigger than the usual but it's not much a concern..

As for her ears, it's a mild ear infections, with just some medication, it'll recover soon... the cause of ear infection could be caused by not properly dried off when after bath..

after the consultation with the doctor and visiting Amber, jie jie(Sharon) and the rest of the human family went off to let Amber rest a little more before they pick her home...

Jie jies(Sharon & Betty) went and pick Amber at 9++pm.. and also to collect her medication too..

(Amber arrived home in her carrier still pretty tired and blur at 9++pm)

(Amber being placed in her own bed to rest for the 1st night after her operation)

OS from Dawn and Snowy: Speedy recovery! Amber..

OS from Jie jie(Sharon): i know you can do it, brave girl!!! Bravery Amber!

Top Ten (10) Most Dangerous Dog Breeds

All dogs can be potentially dangerous, however some dogs are more dangerous than others. Various types of breeds can be considerably stronger and larger than a person of average size. Training, socialization and proper care can make a significant impact, however some dogs are by years of breeding more aggressive. After in depth research and analyzing the studies performed by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the CDC, and the Humane Society of the United States, we have compiled the top ten most dangerous dog breeds.

10. Dalmatian

Dalmatians are very protective dogs and can be aggressive towards humans. They are very active and need lots of exercise. They have very sensitive natures and an excellent memory. This bred is famed for their intelligence, indepedence, and survival instincts.

Weight: 40-70 lbs.
Origin: Yugoslavia

9. Boxer

Unlike their name suggest, these dogs are not typically aggressive by nature. They are bright, energetic and playful breed. Boxers have been known to be "headstrong", which makes it a bit difficult to train them but with positive reinforcement techniques, Boxers often respond much better.

Weight: 50-70 lbs.
Origin: Germany

8. Presa Canario

Originally bred to guard and fight with cattle, an attack by this dog has been described as hopeless for the victim. They are a guardian breed with man-stopping ability, incredible power and a complete lack of fear.

Weight: 80-115 lbs.
Origin: Canary Islands

7. Chow Chow

These dogs can be aggressive if poorly bred. The Chow Chow may appear to be independent and aloof for much of the day but needs constant reinforcement.

Weight: 50-70 lbs.
Origin: China

6. Doberman Pinschers

Dobermans are great guard dogs for their alertness, intelligence and loyalty. They can be agressive dogs when provoked. The typical pet Doberman attacks only if it believes that it, its property, or its family are in danger.

Weight: 65-90 lbs.
Origin: Germany

5. Alaskan Malamutes

These dogs are very energetic and active. If they are bored, they can become destructive. That's why this dog needs lots of exercise to be happy.

Weight: 75-100 lbs.
Origin: Nordic

4. Huskies

Very energetic and intelligent dogs. Not considered a good guard dog because of its personality characteristics and gentle temperament. A 2000 study of dog bites resulting in human fatalities in the U.S. found fifteen such fatalities (6% of the total) were caused by "husky-type" dogs between 1979 and 1997.

Weight: 44-66 lbs.
Origin: Alaska

3. German Shepherds

These dogs are intelligent and very alert. They are highly used by local authorities such as the police K-9 unit. German shepherds are known to be fearless and confident dogs.

Weight: 70-100 lbs.
Origin: Germany

2. Rottweilers

Rottweilers are known to be very aggressive dogs because of their keen territorial instincts. That's why they make great guard dogs.

Weight: 100-130 lbs.
Origin: Germany

1. Pit Bulls

A pit bull is a fearless dog that will take on any opponent. They will lock their jaws onto the prey until it's dead. Pit bulls have a reputation of mauling people to death and they are highly sought for dog fighting.

Weight: 55-65 lbs.
Origin: United States

Dogs most often make wonderful pets, however in certain circumstances, any type of dog can be dangerous. Even friendly dogs, can inflict great harm in the wrong circumstance.

Dog attack: Owner admits

Mongrel broke free from his grip and bit 3 kids

Terri Chua, seen here with Mon Mon, says he has learnt to be strict with a young dog. -- ST PHOTO: BRYAN VAN DER BEEK

ONE minute Mon Mon was sitting quietly by a park bench, the next it was in a frenzy at the sight of a five-year-old boy playing nearby.

The two-year-old mongrel broke free from its owner's grip, pouncing on and biting the French boy before moving on to attack two other children at Tavistock Park in Serangoon Gardens on Jan 27 this year.

On Thursday, Terri Chua, 46, pleaded guilty to three charges of being the owner of a dog which injured children that afternoon.

The court heard that even though Chua was holding onto the leash, Mon Mon was able to break loose and attack the five-year-old.

The boy had been playing on his own while his mother sat on another bench in the park.

Chua chased his dog away from the screaming boy but it then ran towards two other children playing in the park.
